A bistable relay (contactor) is a power electrically controlled switch that operates in two stable positions. The maximum switching current is 100 ADC (120A 250VAC). The control coils are designed for a switching voltage of 48V DC.
The relay is suitable for both AC and DC voltage with a maximum controlled current of 60A DC or 120A AC.
Thanks to the two coils, it is not necessary for the coil to be continuously powered to engage. Both coils are connected to three pins with a common ground. One coil is intended for circuit engagement, and the other for disengagement. Switching occurs only through a pulse with a minimum duration of 100 ms. Two pulse sources are required for control, one for engagement and one for disengagement. The power supply for the control coils is 48V DC. It contains one power working contact in two stable positions.
